Top Ten Books At The Top Of My Summer TBR List
I am really happy it’s summer! And that means it’s time for another seasonal reading list! There are so many books I want to read, and these are the ones I’m looking forward to reading this summer!
- The Darwin Elevator by Jason Hough. Because Jason is pretty freaking awesome and I’m REALLY HAPPY that his book is finally coming out! I’ve been looking forward to The Darwin Elevator since I found it Jason was getting his book published. If I read any book on this list this summer, it’ll be The Darwin Elevator.
- Life And Death Of Anne Boleyn by Eric Ives. I’ve been wanting to read this one for a while, and since I’ve been watching The Tudors, I’m feeling inspired to get back into one of my favorite time periods.
- Shadow And Bone by Leah Bardugo. Because I need to know why so many people love it.
- Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi. Because I’ve been putting it off, and I really need/want to know what happens next.
- Under The Never Sky by Veronica Rossi. Like Shadow And Bone, I need to know why people love it so much.
- The very vague romance novel. Summer and romance go hand in hand, so I’ll definitely try to read a romance or two. I wish I could be more specific, but nothing is jumping out at the moment.
- Another Little Piece by Kate Quinn. It’s YA horror! It’s been a while since I’ve read horror but I’m definitely intrigued by something that’s described as Stephen King meets Pretty Little Liars.
- Daughter Of Smoke And Bone by Laini Taylor. I’ve been meaning to read this one for ages. And while I’m slightly scared I won’t love it the way everyone else does, I am determined to actually read it this summer!
- It’s Not Summer Without You/We’ll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han. It take place during the summer, so to not have it on this list would be weird. Plus, I loved The Summer I Turned Pretty. And contemporaries and summer go hand in hand.
- Dirty Little Secret by Jennifer Echols. I loved Such A Rush, and this YA contemporary looks like it’s going to be a good one.

Great top ten! under the never sky is on my TBR list too:)

I’m glad I’m not the only one who hasn’t read under the never sky!
I have Under The Never Sky on my list this week. Great selection 🙂
I’m hoping I like Under The Never Sky, because I’ve heard so many good things about it! I’m glad I’m not the only one planning on reading it this summer. 🙂
I’m totally out of the loop. I haven’t heard of a lot these! I hope you post reviews after you read them!
I’ll definitely be posting reviews after I’ve read them! I’m really hoping I’ll like all of them.
I love UNDER THE NEVER SKY. It’s one of my favorite YA dystopian series ever. I hope you enjoy it as well!
I hope I enjoy it too! I think I’ve been putting it off because I’m nervous I won’t like it, but I’ve heard so many good things that it’s time I finally know what everyone is talking about!
You’ve got some really good books picked out for the summer! I looooved Shadow and Bone – I actually read it recently and will be posting my review tomorrow, lol. Under the Never Sky is excellent, as well. And I need to read Daughter of Smoke & Bone, too! I’ve been putting it off for way too long.
Excellent choices, and happy summer reading! 😀
This summer seems like a great time to read some books I’ve been putting off! I’m hoping I like Shadow And Bone and Under The Never Sky, especially with all the good things I’ve heard about them.
Another Little Piece looks so good!! And creepy! I definitely want to read that. If you’re into Anne Boleyn, Tarnish by Katherine Longshore just came out today and is apparently a historical fiction about her rise 🙂
Thanks for stopping by My TTT
Tarnish is definitely on my to-read list, and somehow it managed to escape my list. But thanks for the rec!
I hope you enjoy Shadow & Bone! I will say, though, it becomes a bit easy to uncoil the ending if you can figure out who the real antagonist is. I still managed to adore the book, and I had a lot of fun reading it. I read Siege & Storm ASAP, too, and it’s a thousand times better than the first book! Leigh surprised me, but in a good way.
Happy summer reading! (:
Thanks! I hope I enjoy Shadow & Bone too!
